THE MEERA HOTEL IN POKHARA’S LAKE SIDE DISTRICT


Lake Side has a wide of variety of restaurants, cafes and bars. It is also famous for its curio stalls, handicraft shops and ethnic stores. The name Lake Side derives from the Lake Phews which is located a few minutes from the hotel. Phewa Lake offers boating, canoeing and kayaking opportunities. There are also places of cultural interest around the area. There is the famous Barahi temple located in an island in the lake and the Peace Monastery which can be reached by a boat trip across the lake followed by a hike up a hill. A 15 minutes bicycle ride brings you to Devi’s Fall, a gorge with cascading waterfalls, located on the southern tip of the lake. Further 5 minutes west will lead you to the Tibetan refugee camp.

The hotel has two buidings. The Main Wing has 24 guest rooms; also located there is the restaurant with a bar, the cafe and conference room is also located. The East Wing has further 24 rooms, a small garden and parking spaces. The hotel also has its own vehicles which are available for airport pick up, sight seeing tours or as per guest needs.
